Delete Your Account
Huddle — Weekly Video Check-ins
You can delete your Huddle account and all associated data directly from within the app. If you are unable to access the app, you can also request deletion by email.
Option 1: Delete from the App
- Open the Huddle app
- Tap Profile in the bottom navigation bar
- Scroll down and tap Delete Account
- Confirm by tapping Delete in the confirmation dialog
- Enter your password to verify your identity
- Your account will be permanently deleted
Option 2: Request Deletion by Email
If you cannot access the app, send an email to a.n.develops@gmail.com from the email address associated with your Huddle account. Include "Account Deletion Request" in the subject line. We will process your request within 7 business days.
What Data Is Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently deleted:
- Account information: Your email address, display name, and authentication credentials
- Profile data: Your profile picture
- Videos: All videos you have uploaded to any Huddle
- Comments: All comments you have posted on videos
- Group membership: You will be removed from all Huddles you have joined
- Push notification tokens: Your device push notification registration
- Suggested prompts: Any weekly questions you have suggested
What Data May Be Retained
- Anonymous analytics data: Aggregated, non-identifiable usage analytics collected through Firebase Analytics may be retained for up to 14 months. This data cannot be linked back to your account after deletion.
- Legal obligations: In rare cases, we may be required to retain certain data to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our terms. Such data will be retained only for as long as legally required.
Important Notes
- Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. You will not be able to recover your account or any associated data.
- If you created any Huddles (groups), those groups will continue to exist for other members, but your videos and membership will be removed.
- Deletion is processed immediately when done through the app.
